Birthday Piggy

If you've been around a while, you will know that I love pigs. So you can imagine my delight when there was a brand new pig set in the Annual Catalogue, This Birthday Piggy.

While I haven't had a lot of opportunity to be crafty lately, I did get away for a day of crafting with some fellow demonstrators in the spring; and the piggy set was one I had to play with!

So here is the first of many cards I created that day using This Birthday Piggy!

Card Measurements:

  • Basic Black card stock base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

  • Melon Mambo: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Basic Black: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

  • Basic White: 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" and 1 1/2" x 4"

Card Details:

  • Cut your card base to size and score at 4 1/4" on the long side. Fold in half and burnish edge with Bone Folder.

  • Cut Melon Mambo to size and run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Attach to card base with Stampin' Seal.

  • On Basic White, stamp piggy image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colour using Watercolour Pencils. Cut out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Attach to Basic Black cut with the scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies collection and attach this to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • On the strip of Basic White, stamp sentiment in Memento Ink (I used a retired set). Cut out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Use a sponge dauber to lightly sponge the edges in Memento ink and then attach to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • Sprinkle with Iridescent Rhinestones

How adorable is this little guy hanging out in the mud? Do you know what would make him better? Until September 30th, you can order co-ordinating Dies to go with the This Birthday Piggy stamp set!

These are not the only dies available so be shop for these dies before the 30th!
