The season of love is upon us and you’re probably looking for the perfect card to give your significant other. The project I have today is perfect. It was inspired by a design by Gloria Plunkett, I changed it up ever so slightly to come up with my own version.
The base is Flirty Flamingo measuring 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, folded to be 5 1/2” X 4 1/4”. Next a layer of Whisper White at 5 1/4” x 4” is embossed using the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. A bow is tied in the Real Red 3/8” Double-stitched ribbon and adhered to the white before the white embossed layer is adhered to the base. Next, a piece of Flirty Flamingo is cut to 3 1/2” x 3 1/2” and adhered on top of the Whisper White. Squares of 1 1/2” x 1 1/2” are cut from the From My Heart specialty DSP and mounted to squares of Real Red measuring 1 5/8” x 1 5/8”. These are then adhered in the square of Flirty Flamingo. On Whisper White, using Flirty Flamingo ink, the heart image and sentiment are stamped before being punched using the Heart Punch Pack.
This is adhered to a red heart from the Heart Doilies and then the hearts are attached to the base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, three faceted gems are added for a little bling.
The card is quite simple to create and will bring you joy when you give your handmade message of love to the one that’s matters most.
