Card: Love It, Chop It Thinking of You

Good day friends. We've had a sunny start to April here in Hamilton, Ontario and I can't tell you how much the sun is needed in these stressful and worrisome days. It definitely helps me feel happy and makes me more productive.

Today, I'm sharing a card I designed for a customer who wanted to make something for a friend experiencing a loss. I decided to adapt the #loveitchopit mentality that demonstrator Kylie Bertucci has toward our beautiful DSP. Very high level, many of us hoard our DSP because it's just too pretty to use. Kylie says if you love it, chop it and use it up! So that's what I did with this card that I'm sharing today.

I used the stunning Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper on this card. The petal pink stripes look lovely on the Basic Black background. The floral tag, is that same sheet of DSP, just using the reverse for the perfect coordination.

Supplies:

  • Card stock

  • DSP

  • Leaf punch

  • Ink

  • Linen Thread

  • Rooted in Nature stamp set

  • Paper snips

  • Dimensionals

  • Adhesive

Card Measurements:

  • Basic Black card stock base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

  • Whisper White card stock: 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"
