Fancy Fold Design Team - Double Decker Pop Out

Hello friends! I am so excited to be participating in the Fancy Fold Design Team blog hop once again! This month, the fold we are focusing on is a Double Decker Pop Out. I loved how simple this card was to put together; and I think it's one we all need to try! I even got to play with some new catalogue products I hadn't yet ;)

The card was actually quite easy to assemble and if you're familiar with a Z-fold, this is quite similar. Below are the dimensions:

Card Measurements:

  • Lost Lagoon Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" and 2 1/8"

  • Bubblebath Panels: 5 1/4" x 1 7/8"

  • Lost Lagoon front: 4" x 3"

  • Basic White front: 3 3/4" x 2 3/4"

  • Basic White interior: 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"

  • Lost Lagoon pop up piece: 2 1/4" x 3", scored at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4"

  • DSP: 5 1/4" x 4"

Card Directions

  • Cut your base and score as per measurements, fold in half; then fold back on itself, creating a "z-fold". Burnish the edges with a bone folder to get a nice, crisp, crease.

  • Cut strips for your panel and run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, adhere to two small front panels using Stampin' Seal.

  • Cut DSP and attach to inside of card base.

  • On Basic White, stamp your images, attach to matte and using Stampin' Seal +, attach only the left side to the front panel, ensuring it is centred over the front of the card. Add wink of stella as desired and let dry.

  • Cut your pop up piece and fold along each of the score lines to create a box. Flatten the box and use Stampin' Seal + on two panels. Attach these on either side of the the centre crease to create your pop mechanism.

  • Stamp desired sentiment on Basic White and attach to top of pop mechanism inside card.

  • Sprinkle with Iridescent rhinestones to complete.

There is still time to register for the Taco Fiesta card class; my first class in almost 2 years! Space is limited and filling fast. I hope you'll join in the fun!

Happy stampin'!
