Love Cats

Hello Friends! Thanks for stopping by, I'm so happy you're here. I was very fortunate to help one of my dear friends, and team member, Teresa Milke-Steinman at Scrapfest in Kitchener on Friday. I had actually never attended Scrapfest and was amazed to see so many familiar faces in attendance. We were definitely busy, but managed to snap a pic during a quiet moment.

I love being able to share my passion for crafting, even it if has been on the back burner lately, with people and this was a fantastic way for me to do just that.

Teresa had arranged for visitors to her booth to have an opportunity to create a make & take. I couldn't pass up the chance to make one myself, especially since I don't have the stamp set she used; and, it's on the retiring list. The card features the stamp set Love Cats from the spring mini catalogue. They are super cute and I love the simplicity of the card; and how it still packs a punch!

Card Measurements:

  • Basic Black card stock base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

  • Basic White x 2: 5 1/4" x 4"

  • Basic White: 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Card Details:

  • Card your base, and fold in half. Use a bone folder to burnish the edge for a nice, crisp fold.

  • Cut two pieces of Basic White to the larger size. Attach one to the inside of the card using Stampin' Seal. Using Blending Brushes, use Orchid Oasis, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party to create the background on the other piece. Once you have your desired look, attach directly to the card base using Stampin' Seal.

  • On a smaller piece of Basic White, stamp your image and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used a Blender Pen and Parakeet Party to colour in the heart; and, I used a blender brush with Tahitian Tide very lightly around the edges. Attach to the centre of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • Complete the card by adding some 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.

Don't forget to shop the Last Chance (Retiring) List early, as many items have already sold out! If you don't want to miss getting your favourites at a discount, don't wait! Be sure to check back often, as I'll be showcasing more retiring items over the next few days and weeks.
