Penned Papaya Thanks

Good day, crafty friends! Welcome to InkspireMe. I'm so glad you're here. Today, I'm continuing to highlight cards from a demonstrator swap. This one comes from Diana Langman.

There is something so appealing about an understated, simple card. Wouldn't you agree?

She has embossed the DSP adding a level of complexity and texture that gets lost in the photo. I will share a complete list of supplies used at the end of this post so be sure to keep reading!

Card Measurements:

  • Pale Papaya card stock base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

  • DSP: 3" x 5 1/4"

  • Basic White: 4" x 2 1/2"

Card Details:

  • Cut card base to standard quarter fold size, score at 4 1/4" and fold in half. Trim 1" from the side of the front panel only and retain the piece you cut off.

  • Cut DSP and emboss with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder. Attach to card front with Stampin' Seal.

  • Use the same embossing folder to add texture to the piece of Pale Papaya you trimmed off the front in the first step. Attach to inside of card, along right side, to appear as if the front of the card is still whole.

  • Cut Basic White using Stitched So Sweetly dies and stamp flower image on an angle in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Add sentiment with Memento. Use Stampin Blends in Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent to add colour to the blooms and leaves. Attach to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, overlapping the card opening.

  • Add ribbon and embellishments to finish the card.
